Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the Mukhyamantri Research Fellowship Test (MRFT) – 2023-24

The Mukhyamantri Research Fellowship Test (MRFT) is a standardized examination aimed at identifying exceptional research talents across Odisha's public universities. MRFT will select candidates for the prestigious Mukhyamantri Research Fellowship (MRF) Programme, offering fellowship at par with national standard.
Candidates who have completed their Bachelors (U.G.) and Master’s (P.G.) degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized University are eligible to participate in the MFRT-2023. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA (first division) in the both Under-Graduate and Post-Graduation level.
The Candidate must be below 35 years of age as on 1st January 2023.
The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed on the website www.samsodisha.gov.in along with the Common Prospectus (CP) which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP. After submitting CAF online, take printout copy of the Applicant CAF and keep it with you for further Process at the time of admission.
An eligible applicant will have to apply ONLINE for a minimum of one and maximum of two subjects through www.samsodisha.gov.in.

Yes. After submitting the Common Application Form (CAF), if any mistakes encountered by the applicant or any changes are required by him/her, then s/he can edit the details once by entering the OTP received in his/her registered mobile number in the stipulated time period.
General candidates will pay ₹.1000/- per subject and SC/ST candidates will pay ₹.500/- per subject. No fees shall be collected from PwD & Transgender applicants.
